This winter was less wet and sunnier than the long-term average according to figures released by Ronaldsway Met Office.
Weathermen say winter as a whole was unsettled and while there was some cold weather, there was nothing extreme or long-lasting, with only four nights with air frost over the entire winter.
Looking back at the months of December, January and February the Met Office says the 24 hour mean temperature for the period was 6.4°C which is just 0.2°C above average.
There was no lasting snow at low levels however the Island equalled our warmest January day temperature of 13.5°C recorded on the 9th.
Rainfall totaled just 155mm, compared to the average of 232mm while hours of sunshine totaled just under 234, around 50 hours more than average.
The highest wind speeds at Ronaldsway were on 15 January when gusts of over 70mph were recorded.
However whilst winter may officially be over with a blustery start to March it remains to be seen if it's come in like a lion, whether it will go out like a lamb.
