Manx Lottery Trust launches new funding programme

Manx Lottery Trust has today (Thursday 26th February) announced details of its new Community Awards programme, which will be financed by ?3 million of funding from the Big Lottery Fund.

Community Awards will offer grants of between ?2,501 and ?50,000 for projects which will help improve communities and the lives of people most in need across the Isle of Man. It will be available to community and not-for-profit groups, parish or town councils, schools or social enterprises.

The awards programme will run for five years from 1st April 2015.

Manx Lottery Trust Chairman, Malcolm Kelly, said:

‘We are looking forward to funding a wide range of community projects aimed at developing skills, improving health, revitalising the local environment and enabling people to become more active citizens.’

In addition to the funding available under the Community Awards Programme, the Trust will be able to award grants through its Smaller Grants Programme, funded locally by Isle of Man Treasury, providing grants of between ?300 and ?2,500. Smaller Grants will be available to voluntary or community organisations, clubs or associations.
