Burglaries link to recent spate

by isleofman.com 24th February 2015

Householders are once again being urged to be vigilant after two burglaries overnight in Peel.

Police were called to addresses in Ballatesson Meadow, Peel, where two homes had been broken into and jewellery stolen.

Inspector Derek Flint said; “We are in the process of carrying out further enquiries, which will involve forensic work, and some house to house visits. We’d appeal for anyone that may have seen any recent suspicious activity in the area to give us a call at police HQ on 631212.'

There were 40 break-ins over a two week period earlier this year.

Inspector Flint said: 'There would appear to be some similarities between these incidents and those we investigated a few weeks ago. We’d like to offer a timely reminder for neighbourhoods to remain vigilant, and make sure that the earlier crime prevention advice we issued is adhered to. When we know more, we’ll issue some further information.'
