Manannan found by Army

by isleofman.com 22nd February 2015
Soldiers on a training exercise have rescued Manannan after the Celtic sea god who gave the Isle of Man its name was kidnapped last month.

The six-foot fibreglass and stainless steel sculpture, worth around ?10,000, was stolen from County Londonderry.

Those who took it left a message saying "You shall have no other gods before me" on a wooden cross.

But the Ministry of Defence says members of the Royal Irish Regiment discovered it in a forest just 300 metres from its original position.
