Women bishops approved - but call for more women in Tynwald

Tynwald has approved the appointment of women bishops on the Isle of Man.
Yesterday, the court voted unanimously to change Manx law to allow women being ordained – following similar moves in the UK.
During the debate East Douglas MHK Brenda Cannell welcomed the move, but said she’d also like to see women encouraged to take up senior roles right across society.
And after the court voted the measures through, she told Jason Roberts Tynwald would be a good place to start
