The new Policy and Reform minister says he will take a fresh approach to the job of slimming-down government and transforming public services.
John Shimmin takes over the lead Cabinet Office role from Chris Robertshaw, whose resignation on the eve of the Budget, sent shock waves through Manx political circles.
Mr Robertshaw stood down yesterday (16 Feb) frustrated at what he saw as a reluctance in parts of government to embrace change.
After a spell on the back benches, John Shimmin had recently been seconded to Mr Robertshaw's team.
He now holds one of the highest offices in government.
