Week 15 of the Ablec electrical Ramsey Men's Darts League
Bar logo 5 - 4 Mitre
This one was always going to be a close match and it never failed to live up to it. Dave Faragher and Chris Clague got The Logo off to a flying start beating Michael Quayle and Harley Christian before The Mitre squared it up with wins for Stu Corlett and Glenn Charnock over Simon Griffin and John Taylor who was the first top 10 ranked player to lose this week. Scott Dalton had a great win over Roy Dunlop and Jamie J Skillan who was back in form as he despatched Carl Joughin to make the game 4-2. Jamie was straight back on with Simon and they sealed the match with a 2-0 win over Michael and Harley. Stu and Roy plus Glenn and Chris van Buul both won the remaining pairs games to fall just one short.
Plough A 6 - 3 Bar Logo AAA
James Arneil got The Plough off to a good start and helped him get ever closer to the masters line up as he rose up to 20th overall. Dave Maddan beats Steven Waters to level the match before Charlie Cover grabbed one of the shocks of the season as he defeated Geoff Howland 2-0 before The Plough trio of Ollie Webster, Andrew Hudgeon and Paul Palmer put them one game away from another win and maybe the title (if The Central can beat Bar Logo A the title is The Plough's). Mark Brawls and Charlie delayed the match by beating Ollie and Paul in the first pairs but that's all it is as Geoff and Hudgie win 2-0 to seal the match.
Central 3 - 6 Bar Logo A
The title champagne has to stay on ice for at least another week as Jelski's team overcame a huge scare as The Central proved they are somewhat of a boggie team for the A teamers. Tony Kennish won the first game for The Central before Andy Evans and Barry Sharpe won to give the lead to Logo. David Simpson beat Paul 'Aggie' Arthur 2-1 with a two dart 100 finish to level the game up and then Paul Allison got The Logo nerves going as he defeated Alan Young to take a 3-2 lead in the match for The Central. Ian M Fields stayed firm and leveled it before The Logo won all three pairs games 2-0. Great to see another new player as Jason Craine marked his debut with the match winning double.
Traf 5 - 4 Plough B
Another great match and this one went all the way to the wire. Jay Radcliffe put the home side 1-0 up. Tye Jones made it 1-1, back come The Traff as Malcolm Kinrade and Alan Kinrade took the Traff into a 3-1 lead. Charlie Cormode defeated Daniel Callow to put them 4-1 up and cruising. Jamie Kelly and John Piekalns then put on a show with no less than 13 tons between them but it's the stat leader Jamie that nicked it and seemed to add some confidence to Yhe Plough team as they took the first two pairs games but it was all to little too late as Jay and Busbie secured the points in match nine.
