PO delay to cost tens of thousands

The chairman of Isle of Man Post Office says a month’s reprieve granted to Douglas and Ramsey’s crown branches will cost his organisation ?30,000.

The Post Office has announced it’s giving interested groups until March 31 for groups to come up with business plans to take over the two sites rather than relocate services to nearby Spar shops.

It’s after the Ramsey Postal Co-operative organisation, headed by Ramsey commissioners chairman Nigel Malpass, asked for more time to come up with definite plans.
