Cycling on Douglas prom not banned, says DoI

by isleofman.com 12th February 2015
The Department of Infrastructure has denied it has closed a section of Douglas promenade to cyclists.
A post on social media by the police yesterday said the stretch from the war memorial to the Bottleneck car park could no longer be used by people on their bikes.
The post caused a real stir, with scores of angry comments posted within 24 hours of the message being put up.
But the infrastructure minister has told Manx Radio the police's Facebook post was wrong, and his department hasn't banned cycling on that part of the prom.
The post has been removed from the police's page.
