Robertshaw claims MHKs against landlord bill from the start

Former Social Care Minister Chris Robertshaw says he’s saddened by the rejection of new laws governing landlords.

He oversaw the legislation during his time with the department – but this week in the House of Keys saw it sent back for a rethink and a rewrite.

But Mr Robertshaw says he doesn’t accept the bill was as badly-written and unfair as MHKs claimed.

He claims members simply didn’t like the proposed law from the beginning:
