Call for inquiry into commissioners

by isleofman.com 12th February 2015
There needs to be a public inquiry into the running of Castletown Commissioners.

That’s the belief of the owner of the troubled Callow’s Yard complex in the town who has questioned the local authority’s governance.

Roy Tilleard’s frustration surrounds the vice-chairman of the board, Andrew Thomas, who is also chief executive of Shoprite.

Both the board and the landlords of Shoprite opposed Mr Tilleard’s plans to bring supermarket chain Tesco to the town.

He claims their official objections were alarmingly similar and ratepayer funded information has been misused in the appeal to block Tesco.Clip 1
