Conference honour Manx scientist

A three day conference in memory of the profilic Manx scientist Edward Forbes gets underway today.

It's been 200 years since the birth of the marine biologist, oceanographer, geologist, ecologist and much more.

The event at the Manx Museum runs until Saturday afternoon and will hear from more than 30 specialists from on and off the Island.

Dr Fiona Gell is a committee member of the Isle of Man Natural History and Antiquarian Society, she says Forbes is a figure of inspiration:Clip 1
