A free boccia taster session being hosted by the Sports Development Unit will be open to people of all ages and abilities.
Boccia (pronounced ‘botch-ya’) is a skilful, strategic and exciting sport, similar to bowls with the emphasis placed on player’s ability to propel their team’s balls with distance, control and accuracy.
Boccia is a Paralympic Sport and participants can compete equally regardless of age, gender or ability.
Involving children and adults in community sport and opening up sporting opportunities to the disabled are among the objectives of the Strategy for Sport 2014 - 2024.
The taster session will take place on Sunday 22nd February from 2pm - 3pm in the main sport hall at the NSC. If you plan to attend, complete the form at www.gov.im/inclusionsports.
