Steam trains this half term

Steam trains are operating for four days this half term from today, Thursday, to Sunday (12-15 February 2015)
 
Motorists are advised to take care at level crossings with four services daily in both directions.
 
The first trains depart Douglas at 0950 and Port Erin at 1005 with the final trains getting back at 1650 to Port Erin and 1705 at Douglas.
 
The Steam Railway Museum at Port Erin will also be open (Thursday to Sunday) from 1000 to 1630. Admission is ?2 for adults, ?1 for children aged five years and above.
 
Dining Car specials this weekend include the Valentines Massacre Murder Mystery on Friday evening (13 February) and Valentines lunch on Saturday 14. Bookings and enquiries tel. 697457, full details on www.iombusandrail.info.
 
•         Smart travel cards will replace residents’ railway tickets during 2015. Until the cards are available, residents can purchase Go Platinum vouchers from Douglas Station and these will be accepted to travel – see www.iombusandrail.info for details.
