A special sitting of the House of Keys takes place on Monday March 16 to elect members of the Legislative Council.
The terms of office of four MLCs - Dudley Butt, Phil Braidwood, Alex Downie and Alan Crowe - expire on February 28. MLCs are elected by members of the House of Keys, who have until February 27 to nominate candidates in writing.
Candidates need the support of at least 13 MHKs to be elected to the upper chamber.
South Douglas MHK David Cretney and advocate Paul Beckett are seeking election to LegCo.
