by isleofman.com 11th February 2015

Airport authorities have extended by two weeks a period of consultation over plans to charge taxi operators to pick up from Ronaldsway.

Operators now have until Friday February 27 to come up with alternatives to purchasing a ?1,000 permit to pick up passengers from the airport. The Department of Infrastructure plans to impose the charge from Friday March 6 as part of its continuing drive to save money.

To join in the consultation, write to tracy.lane@gov.im or Ann Reynolds, Director of Ports, Isle of Man Airport, Ballasalla IM9 2AS.
