NHS "not facing crisis" - minister

The Island’s health minister says he’s not convinced the NHS here is facing a crisis, as proposed pension reforms drive out senior medical staff.

The British Medical Association has warned the Island has already lost a fifth of its consultants who are taking early retirement before the changes are brought in.

It also says they may be difficult to replace if the Island doesn’t compete with the UK over terms and conditions for workers.

But Howard Quayle MHK says convincing staff to relocate here isn’t as difficult as the BMA makes out:Clip 1
