MT launches web safety guide

by isleofman.com 10th February 2015
A new guide to help Island teenagers use the internet safely has been launched this morning.

It's been produced by Manx Telecom to mark Safer Internet Day, with support from the police and Isle of Man College.

The Isle of Man advice guide is a printed leaflet containing tips on a range of issues - from managing your digital footprint, to seeking help if you become the victim of cyber bullying.

It will be handed to students aged 14 and above, at the College and the Island's secondary schools.

The guide can also be downloaded from Manx Telecom's website.

The slogan for this year's campaign is 'Let's create a better internet together', and has a special focus on the impact of misusing social media.
