Work commitments keep Sam away

by isleofman.com 9th February 2015

The Isle of Man's homegrown Hollywood star Sam Barks has been forced to pull out of a yacht naming ceremony in Douglas harbour this week.

Sam was due to officially name the new Sailing for the Disabled vessel, the Pride of Mann III, at 1.30pm this Wednesday. A change in her work schedule means the event has had to be cancelled.

Sam said: 'I am very excited to have been asked to be involved with the naming of this beautiful new boat, but for now, hold the anchor, I can't wait to see you all on the Isle of Man.'

Sailing for the Disabled will announce a new date as soon as possible.
