Sea defence options to be outlined to public

Four public meetings will take place later this month as government outlines options to improve the Isle of Man’s sea defences.

Presentations will be held in Ramsey, Castletown, Laxey and Port St Mary – all places affected by flooding and storm force winds last year.

It follows the publication of a government-commissioned report focusing on the seven Island sites deemed most at risk of harbour flooding.

Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne says the meetings will help make informed decisions about any future investment in sea defences:
