Bacchas A won the big clash of the day in the men’s Premier League as they ran out 3-1 victors over Valkyrs A.
Andrew Vernon-Browne put the champions ahead after 31 seconds but Gareth Morris equalised before half-time for the westerners.
Second half goals from Tom Wilson and Jonny Callow and a great save from keeper Greg Turner secured Bacchas the points.
That result helped Vikings A close the gap the on second place as they defeated Saracens A 5-2, courtesy of strikes from Andy Harding (two), Alex Birch, Macklin Wilson and Danny Williams.
Andrew Winstanley netted both for Saracens.
Ramsey A lifted themselves off the bottom spot as they thrashed Bacchas B 6-1.
Doubles from Thomas Tsitsos and Sam Moffatt, and one apiece from Will Greenbank and Paul Hunter, earned them the points.
Dave Kneale notched the Bacchas consolation.
In the Women’s Premier League, Valkyrs A stay top as they sealed a 1-0 win against Ramsey, thanks to a goal from Andrea Littlejohns.
Second place Vikings A were in fine form again as they stormed to an 8-1 victory over Valkyrs B with Kim Carney and Breesha Foxton grabbing hat-tricks.
Zoe Crowe and Kirsty Cooper hit the others with Libby Dutnall providing the only bright moment for Valkyrs.
Bacchas A leapfrogged Castletown A into third after they won 3-1 against the southerners, thanks to strikes from Freya Duchars, Sophie Hudson and Helen Thomas.
