Wimbledon Ballot 2015 

The latest from the LTA Wimbledon Ballot team is that they have extended the OPT IN date to 14th February 2015. Therefore Albany members still have a chance to have their name in for the public ballot, at the club. The date for Albany’s ballot is not fixed yet. 

The first Match Play of the club’s series will be played at the following dates and times:

Orange Ball (U9)– Saturday 31st January – starting at 10am.
Red Ball (U8) Saturday 31st January 2pm – 4pm.
The Green Ball (U10) event will be on Sunday 1st February from 12 – 3pm.

Entry is by e-mail – ianwatsonpts@manx.net or put your name on the flip chart in the club room. Closing date for entries is 27th January – 6pm. Entry fee of ?3 should be paid to Ian before your first match. Any queries contact Ian – 496293.

Winter Mixed Doubles league

The club’s home matches are:

Albany A – February 14th, 2st1 and March 23rd.
Albany B - January 31st, February 28th and March 21st.

All matches will be played on courts 2 & 3 and start at 3pm. Court 1 will be available for members also the indoor court from 4pm. Spectators/supporters welcome.

The club’s Mini Tennis programme is flourishing – last Saturday 42 children attended the various sessions with 24 playing at 1pm. There are some places available at the moment on 12 - 1pm session but the 1pm – 2pm has its full quota. Players are “promoted” to later groups as they progress. For new players the first three sessions are free but after that to continue you have to be a member.
