PwC Isle of Man was delighted to recently welcome Ian Powell to the Island. Ian had kindly agreed to take part in PwC Isle of Man’s Strategy Day at the Villa Marina and provide an insight into the PwC network strategy, changes in the global business environment and how they will impact the PwC firm in the Isle of Man.

Ian joined the UK firm’s Executive Board in 2006 and he was elected Chairman and Senior Partner in 2008. Prior to that he developed the UK BRS business and was also responsible for the Continental European BRS Advisory practice.  Along with four other senior partners, Ian is part of the network leadership team which is responsible for running the 190,000 strong PwC network.

In addition to speaking at the Strategy Day, he met a number of local business leaders at an informal buffet lunch at the firm’s office in Circular Road.

Ian Clague, Senior Partner at PwC Isle of Man, said: ‘We are really pleased that Ian was able to make time in his busy schedule to visit the Isle of Man. He certainly left knowing a lot more about the Island’s economy, the way we do business and the contribution we make to the UK’s financial system.’
