Co-op scheme to support Manx community

Co-op stores in the Isle of Man have today (14 Jan) launched a new range of environmentally-friendly carrier bags.
All profits raised from sale of the bags, which are made from 100% recycled materials, will be reinvested in local community projects.
The supermarket chain, which has 10 shops on the Island, wants to reduce the number of carrier bags in circulation which currently contribute around 70% of coastal plastic waste.
The Co-op's Susan Spain says the Manx community and environment are both important to the company:
