Moore Stephens has become the first accounting and business advisory firm in the Isle of Man to earn the prestigious international ISO 9001:2008 certification standard. Laurence Skelly MHK, Minister for the Department of Economic Development, presented the official certificate yesterday, 6th January.
Minister Skelly commented:
“This is a great accomplishment for Moore Stephens and the fact that they are first in the Island to earn this is testimony to how challenging it is to achieve the ISO 9001:2008 certification.
Their achievement reflects the high standards of professional services that exist in the Isle of Man so I congratulate the whole team at Moore Stephens on this excellent achievement.”
An ISO certification requires a firm to have in place a specific set of procedures and international set standards that ensure the highest quality of service and customer satisfaction available. Companies are rigorously audited by external certified bodies who will, if the company is creditable, recommend certification from ISO.
“I am very proud of our team and the amount of hard work put into this project,” said Clive Dixon, managing partner at Moore Stephens. “It confirms to all of our stakeholders, and especially existing and future clients, that they can always expect the highest international standards of professionalism and service.”
