Ellan Vannin beaten in France

The Ellan Vannin football team suffered a heavy defeat in France this afternoon (Tues)
The Manx side lost 5-1 to Occitania in their friendly played in Toulouse.
It was the side's first outing since it finished runners-up at the CONIFA World Cup in Sweden in June.
The hosts were dominant playing on their home pitch and were 2-0 ahead by half time.
Ellan Vannin were outplayed in the first half and made mistakes in the second leading to the large goal differential.
Their consolation goal came courtesy of a Callum Morrisey penalty in the second half.
The players fly back home on Wednesday ahead of normal league matches on Saturday.
