Will Cain, Bryn Snellgrove and Lance Wyllie all crossed for first half tries and with Snellgrove converting all three, Douglas led 21-14 at the break.
West Park stormed back in the second half and took the game but not before Will Latta bagged Douglas’ fourth try to earn them the extra point.

Ramsey defeated Congleton 18-15 at the Mooragh Park to ensure they will lead Division Three at the turn of the year.
Poor discipline meant the closing stages were very tense for the home supporters.
James Lloyd put Congleton in front early on but a try from Peter Richardson and a penalty from Scott Kneale ensured Ramsey led 8-5 at the break.
Another Kneale penalty stretched the lead and, when he converted Craig Long’s try, Ramsey led 18-5 with 10 to play.
Yellow cards for Fintan Cummins and Dan Bonwick reduced Ramsey to 13 men in the closing stages and Congleton pulled one back when Lloyd crossed for his second.
Ramsey, however, clung on till the final whistle.
