A budding young maths prodigy from Crosby has been awarded a prize for her achievements in the subject from Nationwide International.
Sixteen year old Eleanor Blayney won the bank's annual prize for the best results in mathematics at Queen Elizabeth ll High School in this summer's GCSE exams.
The honour comes two years after Eleanor's sister Lauren won the same award.
This is the 15th consecutive year Nationwide International has sponsored the maths prize at QEll.
Eleanor is now studying Maths and Further Maths at A level but says he hasn't yet decided what career to follow.
Nationwide's marketing manager Seamus Byrne Seamus Byrne said: "This is a difficult prize to win with so many excellent students to compete against, and it’s amazing that two sisters from the same family have now won the Nationwide award.”
