Specialists in the field of bio medicine are gathering in the Island for a major business conference this week (10-12 Dec).
The 12 bio-med firms already based here are involved in ventures ranging from clinical trials of new drugs to the development of new materials for human implants.
The Department of Economic Development wants to expand the sector and in a series of presentations, will outline to delegates what the Island can offer companies from all over the world, as a business-friendly base.
The existing cluster of banking, insurance and corporate service firms along with data storage capacity will be highlighted.
