Gymns see off champs

Gymns completed the group stages of the Warehouse Fitness Floodlit Cup as the only unbeaten team with a 3-1 victory over league champions Douglas Royal on Sunday.

Talented Island international Alannah Hall (two) and Rhiannon Brew grabbed the goals in an impressive victory.

Donna Shimmin was on target for the Ballafletcher outfit.

Holders Corinthians clocked up the biggest defeat of the afternoon with an 8-0 win over Colby.

Leading 4-0 at half-time, Melissa Bell (three), Hattie Castle (three), Rose Ozga and Elizabeth Stanley scored for the Whites.

Peel rounded off their group stage with a 6-0 victory over DHSOB.

Maxine Smalley (three), Sarah O’Reilly, Kayleigh Greggor and Natalie Swales netted for the westerners as they scored three goals in each half.
