A Manx travel agent is celebrating after being presented with three prestigious awards at a star-studded conference.
Antony Guy, who is based at Ronaldsway Airport, was awarded the top accolades of ‘Best Business Increase’, ‘Best Corporate Travel’ and ‘Best Travel Counsellor in the World’ from independent travel company Travel Counsellors at a glittering awards ceremony in Manchester, which was hosted by TV personality Vernon Kay and saw the Company acknowledge its top performing travel agents.
With over 850 agents in the Company, Antony was delighted to take the coveted awards home to the Isle of Man in recognition of his constant commitment and hard work, which has helped him to achieve phenomenal bookings throughout the year.
He said: “I was delighted to win the awards and be rewarded for my total dedication to my business throughout the year. Without my loyal clientele base it would be impossible to achieve, so many thanks to all of them for their continued support and I look forward to another great year in 2015.”
The awards ceremony was staged during Travel Counsellors’ annual conference, which this year was underpinned by the theme ’20 Together’ to celebrate the Company’s landmark 20th anniversary and highlight its journey, growth and success over the past 20 years, as well as looking towards the future and all the exciting developments in store.
A star-studded line-up and an array of special guests helped Travel Counsellors celebrate a successful year, including ‘people’s tenor’ Russell Watson and Simply Red.
At the conference Antony was able to meet with over 175 suppliers, who exhibited at a special session, and speak with representatives from a host of tourist boards, hotels, tour operators, airlines and cruise lines to get all the latest information.

We work with the best tour operators and suppliers in the industry and to have the opportunity to enhance my knowledge during the weekend is really invaluable and important to the continued success of my business.
