Manx snowboard-cross athlete Zoe Gillings is about to head into a record-breaking fourth Olympic cycle against all odds as she travels out to the Alps to start her on-snow training and competition ahead of the PyeongChang games in South Korea in 2018.
After a ninth-place finish at the Winter Olympics in February, Zoe is currently ranked UK number one and World number nine in her sport but has lost all funding from UK Sport and Isle of Man Sport Aid.
She says it's disappointing to lose the support as she needs it now more than ever, but adds they have been great in the past.
Zoe's two contracts with long-time Manx sponsors Optimal Payments and Pokerstars have also ended.
Heading into this Olympic build-up, Zoe has announced close support from the Isle of Man firm Celtic Associates, the only Manx company to do so now, but is also seeking further local backing.
If you'd like to do so you can email email dan@zoegillings.com.
Alternatively, anyone can support Zoe by using her website, poundshaveclub.com the profits from which are being invested into her Olympic program.
