This week King William's College's Under-14 XI travelled to Leeds University to compete in the North Final of The National Schools Hockey Cup.
This was a first for KWC and the Island.
The girls secured a 2-0 win over Pocklington in their first match.
Their next match against Newcastle School did not go as well, though, ending in a 2-0 defeat.
Their third match was against old rivals Queens Schools Chester.
Neither side could find a breakthrough, and it ended in a 0-0 draw.
That was enough for the girls to qualify as runners-up of pool A, meaning they'd face the winners of pool B, Leeds Grammar School.
Despite putting on a good show, King William's College lost 2-0, to the side who would go on to win the tournament.
