SuperJam founder, philanthropist and long-time Junior Achievement ambassador Fraser Doherty is to brighten up the dark days of early 2015 with a talk on January 8th from 3 to 5pm at the Palace Hotel.
Awarded an MBE for services to business in the Queen’s birthday honours lists this year, the charismatic 25-year-old entrepreneur from Edinburgh who founded his 100 per cent fruit jam company when he was just 14 will offer a taste of ‘The Adventures of Jam Boy’, which recounts his rise from making jam based on his grandmother’s recipes in his kitchen to supplying SuperJam to more than 2000 supermarkets, including Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury, Tesco and Wal-Mart.
Junior Achievement CEO Sue Cook said: ‘We’re delighted to be welcoming Fraser back; just like his jams he never fails to delight and he has a great story to tell. He knows how to connect with his audience in such a hugely entertaining and inspiring way that leaves them in no doubt that in life as well as in business, with vision, determination and a highly developed sense of humour, anything is possible.’
An Afternoon with Fraser Doherty MBE is supported by Microgaming PlayItForward.
Claire Coleman, head of Microgaming PlayItForward, added: ‘Inspired by Fraser and his entrepreneurial skills, we were very keen to get involved with this event, to ensure his compelling story can be heard by a new audience. We really encourage you to book a place and attend – we can all learn a lot from Fraser!’
