Peel surprise Royal

by isleofman.com 24th November 2014
Peel registered their most impressive win to date in women’s football on Sunday, defeating five times winners’ Douglas Royal in the Warehouse Fitness Floodlit Cup.
Sarah Wignall was the star of a pulsating match, netting a first half hat-trick in a 3-1 win.
Donna Shimmin pulled one back after the break but Peel held on to record a memorable victory.
Colby and Old Boys secured their first point in the group stages in a 1-1 draw.
A Ceri Purvis strike put the Blackberry Lane side in front before Melissa McKnight’s penalty cancelled that out in the second half.
