Dooley dominates half marathon

Mark Dooley produced a super showing to win the Syd Quirk Half Marathon on Sunday.
He won the event from Jamie Newton and Michael Garrett in a time of one hour, 10 minutes 22 seconds.
That was the fourth best time in the history of the event, sponsored by Haldane Fisher - Steve Kelly has the fastest three.
Ben Corkill, Paul Sykes, Rob Sellors, Jim Macgregor, Murray Lambden, Jock Waddington, Gaynor Evans, Phil Motley, Ellen Kneen, Emma Walker, Anne Claffey, Bernadette Haywood, Moira Hall and Sue Furner were the respective category winners.
Rebecca Reynolds won the women's race from Rosy Craine and Michelle Brook.
The 13.1 mile walk was won by Adam Cowin from Michael George and Michelle Turner.
