Local authorities 'happy' to take on more services - Gawne

There's a willingness among many local authorities in the Isle of Man to take on services currently run be central government.
That from Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne, who says the added cost to commissioners and Douglas Corporation of providing the likes of hedge cutting and street sweeping will be offset by the DoI waiving the waste disposal charge increase.
He says it also represents a change in the way government and local authorities have approached such changes:Clip 1
