MHK unhappy over Post Office 'done deal'

by isleofman.com 22nd November 2014
A Douglas MHK says she's unhappy that the closure of two of the Island's main post offices was agreed without a political debate.
South Douglas member Kate Beecroft tabled an emergency question in Tynwald this week, asking what had triggered the decision by Isle of Man Post Office to close its flagship branches in Douglas and Ramsey.
The business will transfer to new, sub post offices inside Spar stores in the high streets of both towns early next year.
Mrs Beecroft says the whole affairs has been presented as a 'done deal' - with virtually no debate on an important community issue:Clip 1
