Ellan Vannin to play in France at end of year

by isleofman.com 20th November 2014
Having been denied the chance to host Kurdistan on Tuesday 30th December, the Manx International Football Alliance has announced Ellan Vannin will play in France on the same date.
The team will play a friendly against Occitania in Toulouse.
It will also be the first game Ellan Vannin will wear their purple End Polio Now Campaign away shirts.
Originally, MIFA wanted to arrange a fixture against Kurdistan at the Bowl on the 30th December but the Isle of Man Football Association, under the terms of a Memorandum of Understanding between the parties, turned down the request.
The reasons given - it was two days after the Railway Cup Final and four days before the next round of league matches - including the Premier League clash between Peel and St. George's.
