ICSA promotes need for effective governance

Island businesses continue to search for local recruits to the key role of Company Secretary - but want to see more professional training opportunities on-Island.
That view from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators Isle of Man - which has been showcasing career opportunities during a recent visit by the ICSA's Head of Members and Students Theresa Minnie.
Company secretaries ensure the proper governance of a firm, overseeing legal matters, compliance issues and what it calls 'good boardroom behaviour'.
Adrian Tinkler is chairman of the ICSA local branch.
He says the profession plays a vital role in maintaining the good reputation of the Manx business sector:
