Is this the end for Rowany Golf Club?

by isleofman.com 17th November 2014
The future of Rowany Golf Club is under serious threat.

Its committee has announced the club is to wind up its business operations and cease trading.

Rental charges by Port Erin Commissioners, a lack of new members and significant annual losses have been all cited as factors behind the decision.

The local authority says it’s disappointed over the impending closure and will continue to talk to the club and its members.

It says the board is committed to having a golf course in Port Erin and may now start looking for expressions of interest in running the facility.
