Winter League...the story so far!

The winter League recommenced on the 26th October with a full turn out on a windy morning. Incoming Captain, Phil Hassall and Pro, Andrew Dyson teamed up for the season kick off against Pete Collister and Andrew's partner for last year and still current Captain Sean Cunningham. Great opening fixture with Phil and Andrew 3 points down with 5 holes to play but managing to edge it by one point and scoring 40 in all. Sean was not a happy chap!!

The results of the day were a very close finish with the top 3 on 42 points. 1st place winner on a count-back was winter golf specialist Kick McClorey with Robbie Lawson, just ahead of Toto Mazzone & Paul Routledge with Stu Douglas & Barry Teare in 3rd place.

Last year's winners Steve Taylor and Steve Rundle managed 34 points but the "Walk of Shame" went to Nicola and Eohin Sherrard on 30 points.

Week Two on the 9th November saw last year's champions Steve Taylor and Stuart Rundle stumble again and once more scoring 34 points. The "Walk of Shame" was grabbed by Ian Jones and Nigel Bolt on 34 points. Winners and with his playing partner, Chef John Pulman on holiday, Davis Boswell teamed up with sub Mal Callow. Super sub Mal and Dave stormed in with 46 points 2 ahead of Andrew Walker and Fergus Murdoch. They were just one point ahead of Andrew Dyson and Phil Hassall with 43 points. All aboard for the next round on the 23rd November, 9am Shotgun start.
