Gymns maintain 100 per cent cup record

Gymns and holders Corinthians registered impressive wins over Colby and DHSOB in the third round of group matches in the Warehouse Fitness Floodlit Cup on Sunday.

Gymns hit double figures to maintain their 100 per cent record in the competition.
They went onto beat Colby 11-1.

Hat-tricks from Nicki Naden and player of the month Alannah Hall led the rout.

Gillian Christian added two and there were further goals from Sarah Denny, Rhiannon Brew and Elaine Wiseman for the Tromode outfit.

The southern response came via Mel McKnight.

Holders’ Corinthians defeated battling Old Boys 8-2.

Dawn Winn (two), Lisa Costain (two, one pen), Kiera Morgan, Sarah Kerford, Hattie Castle and Jenna McStay scored for the Whites.

Ceri Purvis replied for the Blackberry Lane outfit.
