Last Friday’s Night at the Races proved to be an enjoyable and successful evening which raised approximately ?1,800 for club funds. Thanks should go to John Morrison of Morrison Photos for a well presented programme, Kirsten Hall, who organised The Chippy suppers, David Bufton, David Winnell and Jackie Chinn on the Tote table, Jan Gaskill and Kirsten for the raffle and all companies and individuals who sponsored races, owners, trainers and jockeys, This is a good start to raising money to repay the loans on the re-surfaced courts.
ON Wednesday the club hosted the lunch for sponsors, vice-presidents and committee who have supported the club’s activities throughout the past year. An excellent lunch was provided by Jan Gaskill, Fran Shacklock and Hilary Power with Carissa Skehan and Finola Ellis also helping in the kitchen. This annual event is appreciated by all those who give financial or practical support for our very busy club.
