MIFA disappointed over Kurdistan game refusal

by isleofman.com 11th November 2014
The Manx International Football Alliance says it's disappointed the Isle of Man Football Association has refused to grant permission to play a friendly against Kurdistan on 30th December.
Under the terms of a memorandum of understanding between the organisations, any games Ellan Vannin plays outside the summer months have to be approved by the F.A..
MIFA says it is the second time this has happened "without a reasonable reason" being given.
And further, these decisions "breach the spirit" of the agreement and "invalidate its effectiveness and purpose".
The F.A. refused to allow the Kurdistan game to go ahead as it is only 2 days after the Railway Cup Final and 4 days before the next set of league fixtures.
