The Committee of the Isle of Man Funds Association hosted an Open Evening and Drinks Reception on the 23rd October at The Courthouse Club.
This networking event brought together like minded individuals from local organisations with an interest in the Isle of Man’s fund industry, fund products and associated services, and was kindly sponsored by The Socially Responsible Investment Fund PCC plc.
Presentations were made by Paul Kneen, Chairman of the Association, John Garland on behalf of Isle of Man Government Department of Economic Development and Ian Morley, Special Consultant to the Isle of Man Funds Association, who spoke about respective involvement in the busy program of activity which is undertaken each year to promote and development the IOM as a Funds jurisdiction for both traditional and niche fund services.
Commenting on the event, Chairman of the Isle of Man Fund Association and Chief Executive Officer of Abacus Financial Services Group, Mr Paul Kneen, said: “The Open Evening was an occasion to celebrate and highlight the invaluable work of the Isle of Man Funds Association and its members, as we continue our ongoing efforts to promote the Isle of Man as an international business centre and a reputable and effective fund jurisdiction. The Association is keen to attract new members who may be interested in benefitting in opportunities to be involved in off island promotion, influence the development of the local industry and its regulation, and to participate in CPD events that are organised for members and to network with local contacts. I would also like to thank The Socially Responsible Investment Fund PCC plc for their support of this event.”
