Counting House (IOM), a local payments consultancy, has announced the appointment of Justin Martin to the position of Consultant, Eastern Europe.
Managing Director Paul Davis explained:
“The world of competitive payments grows ever more complex and brings with it more complex challenges. The emerging economies of Central and Eastern Europe have their own particular cultural and technical twists, but there are some amazing providers and products out there. Justin is the ideal man to expand our offering and expertise having lived and worked for several years in Russia and being au fait with the cultural and ethical niceties of the region.”
An island based businessman and self-confessed ‘start-up junkie’, having launched and managed more than 20 businesses from internet search engines to electric motors, Justin has a rich and varied career. Justin has led several IPOs on AIM, enjoyed strong connections in the insurance industry, and most recently headed up an on-island professional services provider which, like Counting House, has a strong book of business in the eCommerce and eGaming sectors. He is expected to spend a short time on a very steep learning curve, including several visits to key company locations in Europe and North America, before settling down to take lead responsibility for Counting House’s rapid expansion into emerging markets and higher risk jurisdictions and verticals.
Justin joins Tim Craine, former DED head of eGaming, as the second highly qualified specialist to take a seat in Counting House’s busy office. The company is a real island success story and enjoys high respect across the professional services sector as the place to call when accurate, timely payments information or processing is required.
