Dean Harrison will ride for Mar-Train Racing at next year's T.T. and Southern 100 meetings.
The 25 year old from Bradford has signed a two year deal with the Northern Ireland team.
He rode for them in the supersport class over the past season - but now takes on a full-time role including the all new R1 which was unveiled at the Milan Motorcycle Show on Monday.
Mar-Train have been named as the official Yamaha team for road racing in 2015.
Harrison was crowned as a T.T. winner in June when he won the Lightweight race.
