Castletown resident Jonathan Rea finished second in Sunday's final World Superbike race of the 2014 series in Qatar.
That was enough to end the series in third place overall as French rider Sylvain Guintoli took the title with a double race victory.
Rea, who will join the Kawasaki Racing Team next season, finished the opening race in fourth place before claiming a podium spot in race two.
