Douglas went down 12-3 at home to Liverpool St Helens in a tight game at Port-e-Chee in South Lancashire and Cheshire Division One.
The visitors took the lead in the 15th minute when Dan Hollywood went over wide on the right.
Bryn Snellgrove kicked a penalty for Douglas at the end of the half to reduce the arrears but a try from John Hodson in the second half, which he converted himself, was the only addition as the weather deteriorated.
Ramsey’s 100 per cent record in Division Three finally came to an end as they lost 29-15 away at second place Oldershaw.
It cut Ramsey’s lead at the top to eight points.
Dan Bonwick and Mark Oldfield both picked up tries for Ramsey with Scott Kneale kicking a conversion and a penalty.
